Future Plans

Over the past few years, I have been praying about how long to stay in Brazil and staying open to where God may be calling me to next. I am grateful beyond words that I have been able to stay in Brazil for as long as I have, and grateful that God has now clearly called me to the next step. Especially because He has called me closer to my family. I won't share a lot of details right now, but my contract with Global Mission ends in January, and in February I will be moving back to the United States. I will be in Lewiston, ID for at least a couple months to transition before entering my next ministry. I've been in discussions with leadership on the Northwest District (the Church of the Nazarene in eastern Washington and northern Idaho) about doing ministry on the district. I am really excited about what God has next for us and ask for your prayers as we continue to plan and dream with God. Again, I'll share more details later. For now, I am enjoying every day I have here in Brazil and looking forward to living closer to my family in the States. If you have been financially supporting me monthly and have any questions about ending your donation, feel free to send me an email and I can help you.

District Assembly

Last month, I was able to participate in Brazil's West Central District's 38th district assembly. Among the highlights was taking two of our church members who had never been to a district assembly (or any other Nazarene church) before. I got to translate general superintendent Scott Daniels's meeting with the six ordination candidates before their ordination service. The ordination service itself was very special and encouraging, especially seeing the candidates ordained as reverends surrounded by friends and family.

The worst part of the assembly was I was chosen to be a page for the
business meeting so this was my seat for a couple hours

Prayer Requests

Please pray for me as I get ready to say goodbye to people here in Brazil and prepare for ministry in the States
Pray for our church as we continue to transition my roles and responsibilities to other people
Pray for our church members and leaders, that they would continue to grow in Christ and share Him with others

Thanksgiving

We had a very special last American Thanksgiving together. This was only the second time I have undertaken make most of a Thanksgiving dinner by myself. It went a lot better than the first time. We even had a Thanksgiving miracle of finding celery in the grocery store this time of year. The biggest hits were the sweet potato casserole and my Aunt Brenda's rolls.
